William Blake Bentley ("Blake") is the firm's owner and manager since 2015. His practice focuses on family law matters such as divorce, child custody disputes, alimony and restraining orders; as well as OUI defense, criminal law, estate planning, business planning, and obtaining disability benefits.


Attorney Bentley graduated University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in Business Management. He received his law degree from Suffolk University Law School. He has comprehensive experience in contested and uncontested divorces, modifications of existing orders, paternity cases, petitions for custody and support, guardianships, obtaining social security benefits, elder law, criminal law and preparing comprehensive estate plans.


Prior to law school, Attorney Bentley worked in the financial sector advising clients on various financial matters with Morgan Stanley, Smith Barney, and Citizens Bank. Focusing primarily on criminal defense, he and Attorney William Bentley have successfully represented clients facing a range of charges, from OUI acquittals to avoiding life sentences for home invasion and other serious felonies.

  • Boston Municipal Court

    Charge: Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, OUI Drugs, OUI Liquor, and Possession of a Class B Drug (Amphetamine).


    Facts: Client was accused of driving drunk, crashing his car in a Boston tunnel, and passing out by the time police arrived. Police allegedly found Amphetamine in Client's pocket while searching him and the car. Attorney Simons and Attorney Bentley represented Client on behalf of Bentley Law Group. On the eve of trial, the judge agreed to dismiss the drug possession charge. After a contested trial, Client was acquitted of the remaining charges.


    Result: Drug charge dismissed; Not Guilty on remaining charges.

  • Salem Superior Court

    Charge: Rape


    Facts: Client was accused of raping a girl while she slept in a college dorm room. The alleged victim and her boyfriend both testified against Client, but Attorney Simons was able to point out important discrepancies in the stories, and ultimately persuaded the jury to acquit Client.


    Result: Not Guilty

  • Woburn District Court

    Charge: OUI Liquor


    Facts: Client, a college student, was charged with driving under the influence of liquor. According to police, Client failed field sobriety tests, smelled like alcohol, and had bloodshot eyes. After cross-examining the state trooper and presenting a powerful argument to the jury, the Client was acquitted.


    Result: Not Guilty

Karen Dexter

Karen Dexter

Karen Dexter, Esq., LICSW of Counsel for Bentley Law Group, LLC, received her law degree from Suffolk University Law School and her Master's in Social Work from Boston University. Attorney Dexter's clinical background is with children and families. She has worked withing the MA child welfare and mental health system for the past 20 years as well as focuses her legal practice on family law. She believes in taking a holistic approach to addressing family legal issues. Her particular areas of interest include domestic violence, child custody, divorce and social welfare policy issues impacting children and families.


Attorney Dexter is an adjunct professor at Boston College School of Social Work. She is a mom to two teenage boys. Their sports and music keep her busy during any time off.
